Why do I have to pay sales tax for digital files?
We live in a digital era. According to the California law, we have to pay sales tax on everything that is digital. Even though the files that you will receive are not tangible it's required to pay sales tax on them.
Do I have to pay the full amount of my session upon booking?
No. A 33% non-refundable retainer is required when you book a regular session. Full payment is due two days prior to the date of the photo session. Mini Sessions have to be paid in full upon booking.
How long does it take to get my photos delivered?
Wall art or any product(s) take 6-8 weeks from order date. Mounted Prints and Regular prints take 2 weeks from order date. Finished digital images will be delivered in 2 weeks from the date of the photo session.
How do you deliver wall art or any product? Do you ship them?
I will deliver the wall art or any product (s) to you or you're welcome to pick-up your wall art or any product (s) in person. Wall art or any product (s) can also be shipped at an additional cost.
Are you responsible for the color and quality of my photos if I print them in a non-professional lab?
I will not be responsible for the color reproduction of enlargements from these files that have been taken to non-professional and/or consumer type labs.
What if I cancel my photo session? Can I get my retainer back?
In the event of postponement or cancellation of the session, I will use the retainer fee towards a replacement date that is suitable to our schedule.
How far do you travel for a photo session?
I would travel 30 miles from Arroyo Grande at no cost. After 30 miles a $0.54/ mile charge will be included in your invoice for travel expenses.
What is a mounted print?
It's a photo print mounted on white matboard. It has a smooth, soft finish. You won't find this type of print at any non-professional lab.
Can I purchase more digital images or prints?
Absolutely! Additional files or prints are available for purchase. You can also buy the rest of your gallery session. A full gallery will have between 25-30 images.
Where do you print your images?
I work with a professional photographic lab.
I take pride in providing products that are properly color matched, have archival quality, and are ultimately lasting. I want you to have ready-to-enjoy products. I have done extensive research into high-quality products and only offer the best. My computers are calibrated to my professional photographic lab to ensure that the exact color that I see on my screen is the exact color printed on your images.
By printing these images anywhere other than a professional photographic lab, you are potentially wasting hours of editing and color correcting, not to mention money! This also means that the Karla Wenger Photography brand is not being represented in the way it deserves. I cannot be responsible for color and quality of images printed anywhere other than our professional lab.
Can you retouch my images?
I do light editing on my images. I don't do any type of retouching. However, I can outsource someone to do it with an additional fee of $10 per image.
